In need of some uber-girly cocktail recipes for this upcoming Valentine’s Day? Whether you’re planning a romantic evening in with your significant other, or whether you’re throwing the ultimate Galentine’s Day soiree with your gal pals, these four drink recipes are sure to be total hit!! Each recipe has been tried out and tasted by yours truly, so I can personally attest to the fact that they are all delicious! It also doesn’t hurt that they look super cute!
This first cocktail is by far the simplest of the bunch! Walking through the candy aisle at Target, I spotted some pink cotton candy on the shelf and decided to pick some up to add to my champagne.
Pink cotton candy and champagne, those are the only two ingredients you’ll need to recreate this first drink! I added a tiny piece of cotton candy to the bottom of the champagne glass to start, then filled it up with some prosecco from Trader Joe’s. I topped it off with another little piece of cotton candy to jazz things up a bit!
This next drink was my favorite of the bunch!! I have a slight obsession with Frose, and every summer I’m on the lookout for which Denver bars are serving this delicious concoction. I figured, why not try and make my own version of a frose cocktail at home?! So, that’s exactly what I did! I will definitely be making this drink on repeat all summer long, but it’s also the PERFECT girly drink for a galentine’s day bash. Win-win!
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to whip this up at home:
(makes enough for one drink)
- 4 oz. of Rose – (I used Trader Joe’s Simpler Wines Italian Sparkling Wine in a Can – comes in a 4-pack for just $3.99!!)
- 1 oz. of Vodka – (close to 1 shot – I used Tito’s Vodka, because DUH….)
- 2 oz. of Sparkling Ice Strawberry-Watermelon Flavored Water
- Frozen Strawberries – (equal to 1 handful)
- Ice – (I used 10 ice cubes total)
Step 1 – Add the ice and frozen strawberries to a blender.
Step 2 – Measure out and pour the rose, vodka and Sparkling Ice flavored water into the blender as well.
Step 3 – Blend all ingredients together.
Step 4 – Garnish with fresh strawberries and/or raspberries and enjoy!!
This third cocktail is also a great drink to enjoy in the summer, but at the same time would be very appropriate for a fun girls night/galentine’s day party. And it would look so pretty served in a large glass jar or pitcher!
Cocktail Ingredients: (Makes 1 Drink)
- 2 oz. Tito’s Vodka
- 2 oz. Orange Juice (pulp-free – because who likes OJ with pulp, ew..)
- 2-3 squirts of Orange-Tangerine Flavored Liquid Water Enhancer
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
- 1/2 can of Sprite (or 6 oz.)
- 4-5 Fresh Raspberries
- Ice
Step 1 – Muddle the fresh raspberries and add to a shaker.
Step 2 – Measure out and add the vodka, orange juice, orange flavored liquid water enhancer and lemon juice to the shaker of muddled raspberries.
Step 3 – Shake it up!
Step 4 – Pour the mixture into a cocktail glass filled with ice.
Step 5 – Top it off with 1/2 a can of Sprite.
Step 6– Mix together with a spoon, garnish with some lemon wedges and raspberries and enjoy!!
This last drink was by far the strongest drink of the bunch. For that reason, I decided to nickname this cocktail ‘The Ladykiller’. Funny coincidence that as I was mixing up this bad boy, Maroon 5’s song “Ladykiller” started playing on my Spotify in the background…. So, thank you, Maroon 5, for giving me the inspiration for this drink’s name.
‘Ladykiller’ Cocktail Ingredients: (Makes Enough for 2 Drinks)
- 4 shots of Gin (I used Trader Joe’s Art of the Still Organic Gin)
- 1 Tbsp. Rose Lemonade (I used Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade – found it at Target)
- 1 C. of San Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water
- Frozen Strawberries (about 6 strawberries total)
- Pink (or Red) Gel Food Coloring
- 1 Lemon
- Sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Ice
Step 1 – Sprinkle 2 tsp. of sugar over the frozen strawberries and let sit for 5 minutes.
Step 2 – Mix together pink gel food coloring and sugar (eyeball the amount) into a bowl, then wet the rim(s) of your cocktail glass(es) with water and dip the rim(s) into the pink sugar mixture for a super cute sugary pink rim!!
Step 3 – Muddle the strawberry and sugar mixture together.
Step 4 – Add ice, muddled strawberry/sugar mixture, gin, rose lemonade, and a pinch of salt to a shaker.
Step 5 – Shake it up!
Step 6 – Split liquid mixture up into the two sugar-rimmed cocktail glasses.
Step 7 – Top each drink with 1/2 c. of S. Pellegrino Sparkling Mineral Water.
Step 8 – Top each cocktail with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Step 9 – Stir to combine and enjoy!!
